Website Under Construction!

Just an FYI, I'm in the process of reworking a few things and adding in new content. Apologies if something looks or acts wonky, as I am still getting everything to my liking and making sure everything is fully functional. Thank you for your patience.

I've finally added my work from Age of Empires Online to my professional work page. I'll gradually be updating that page with more things.. Since, you know, I've done more during the past 2 years.. oof.

One more for Marvel!

Started sketching this last night around 2:00 AM because I couldn't sleep, and finished it after I woke up. First time drawing Pepper Potts! It's a fan-art-first kind of weekend I suppose.

First time, Cap!

Decided to do some fanart tonight. I chose Captain America because I thought it would be fun to play around with costume design for him. This is actually the first time I've ever drawn Captain America! For the design, I referenced Chris Evans for the face, and Captain America: The First Avenger / Captain America: The Winter Soldier outfits for the clothing. So yeah, the design is heavily based on the movies, but honestly, I didn't have much of an interest in Captain America until the movies. As a comic book reader, I'm more into DC, but growing up I was heavily into Spiderman, so that's who my big Marvel hero was as a kid. But back to the drawing, I knew I'd have trouble with Cap's signature shield, so I saved that for last.. and struggled with it for awhile. It still looks wonky.. But overall a good night for drawing.

I'm still working on some projects and commission stuff which will be wrapping up shortly, as well as my company's new game! We've had to do a bit of crunch lately, but we're coming along. I'm excited to show what the Massively Fun team has been up to :)

Oh! hello there Ernest Cline!

So as I'm sitting on the couch watching TV, Lisa comes running in excited and tells me that Ernest Cline, writer of Ready Player One, had reblogged my drawing of his characters! I had intended to show him my drawings once I had finished them, but as usual, I get behind on my personal projects, and the Ready Player One art took a back seat... but he found them! And he thinks they're cool, so that makes me happy :). I still want to draw Shoto and Daito, so hopefully I can get around to doing that soon. And then the eventual coloring of the characters! I'm also getting some traffic thanks to Mr. Cline's blog, so much thanks to him, and I'm glad he enjoyed my interpretation of his wonderful characters!

I'm terrible at updating this blog, but hopefully I'll get some new work up pretty soon. I've been busy at work as we push to finish the game we're working on, so I'll have some art to show from that pretty soon, along with personal pieces when I get a chance. To any followers, thanks for sticking with me, and to anyone new, I hope you like what you see and that you'll stick around as well :)

Ready Player One

I'm back! Have some Ready Player One!

Work In Progress

I recently finished reading it and I loved it! These are still roughs, and I have 2 more characters to put on this page, so I've got some work ahead of me.. BUT, I wanted to post something since I haven't in awhile.

Lisa has been trying to get me to read Ready Player One for about a year, and I wish I had jumped at the chance sooner. If you love video games and 80's pop culture, do yourself a favor and read Ready Player One!
