There's no plan of making this into a dress up game. Sorry.

80's themed
I've been listening to Kavinsky so much lately that I have 80's on the brain. So I drew a fellow from the 80's during lunch, and then gave him more of an 80's touch with a Members Only jacket and shades.

Trinquette Challenge
Hey yooo~ I've been gone too long... I feel like there's a lot to talk about but I'm always too preoccupied with whatever to write it down. I'll try to squeeze in a few posts this week, maybe to talk about some recent art books I got or movies I saw. Anyway, today was a productive night. The very talented Alberto Ruiz has been doing a weekly drawing challenge for the past few months via his facebook page, and tonight I decided to participate for the first time! Basically, he posts a photo and you use it as reference for whatever art piece you'd like to make. It's totally open to your interpretation as long as you use the source material. I had been meaning to start doing these challenges for the longest time, but yeah, you know...
Original image (I do not own this image, it is used for practice purposes only) :
My interpretation:
Nothing very creative, at least not like a lot of the submissions I see with these challenges, but perhaps next time... I just wanted to use this as a study piece :). Added the numbers because why the hell not? What do they mean? No idea. It's all the same woman, so uh.. clones..?

Running late
So I'm a few days behind now with my dailies... Been super busy with work, among other things, BUT I shouldn't make excuses... just gotta keep drawing.
Here's day 4: Fionna and Cake, Adventure Time.
More will be done with this :)
:EDIT:
Here's Day 5: More Adventure Time with Finn and Jake.

Sketch-A-Day #1
No idea if this will last, but I must march on the best I can. 30-60 minute drawings, one a day. I don't like the idea of updating this every day because then it feels like work.. So I'll do batch updates, hopefully nothing exceeding a week's worth of drawings. Also, if I miss a day, I can make it up before doing the batch update, and no one will know... But for real. Gonna try to not screw this up.

January 1st, 2013 - #1: Babs
I fought myself a lot on this one. Mainly because I want to set a time limit for myself, and that means I need to not be so picky. No you can't start over, no you can't do a different subject, just deal with it.
Welp, that's #1.

Late night sketch
Spent the evening collecting art for my reference and inspiration folders. Then proceeded to do some sketching because I was motivated and because I had a couple cups of coffee with my dinner and what is sleep? Enjoy :)

Tychus for GOSU
Here's another rough for GOSU. Tychus Findlay from Star Craft 2. Though it's not from start to finish, you can watch some of the process video here. (WIP)
Drawing robotics is always a challenge for me, so it's good to do these every once in awhile. It really puts me into a different mode of concentration because essentially I'm 3D modeling in my head and making sure I know the shape, dimensions, and detail to each hard surface piece. It's a lot different from drawing organic since it's harder to find times when I can lay down active or living curves like I do when drawing the human figure. If that makes sense.

Spookyness
I went to play board games at a friend's place today and in the background we had the Silent Hill movie playing. It's been awhile since I've seen it, and I still really like it and still think it's one of the better video game to movie adaptations around. Well, that, along with reading some creepy stories tonight, were the inspiration for this. Very appropriate with Halloween coming up in a couple days :)
